The NUS Black Students Campaign's Winter Conference

18 - 19 November, Woverhampton

This conference is open to all students of African, Arab, Asian and Caribbean. The event gives an excellent opportunity for Black students to meet, network and come to training on relevant issues for the Black Communities. The conference will provide an opportunity for discussion and debate on key issues of concern to Black students in Britain today. There will also be workshops on a range of topics from clubs and societies training to running effective anti-racist campaigns. It is also an opportunity to meet the NUS Black Students Officer and Committee, providing a chance to find out more about the campaign.

Confirmed Speakers include: Lee Jasper, Chair, National Black Alliance; Keith Jarrett, Chair, National Black Police Association; Linda Bellos, Diversity Solutions Consultancy; Simon Wooley Chair, Operation Black Vote; Kofi Klu, Concorde X, Pan African Study Group.

The last conference was attended by 150 Black students, activists and officers representing Universities around the country.
